Sunday
Tours! Tours! Tours! We started the day with a tour of the Slovenia's capital city Ljubljana and Ljubljana's castle. We all piled back into the bus from our hostel in Velenje to Ljubljana, which was around an hour and a half away. Once we arrived we parked in an underground parking lot and proceed to the start of the tour. Every hour the church bells start ringing. Before we start the tour, we tried some traditional Slovenian sausage and pastry. It was delicious! To get to the castle we took a ski lift, because it was so high up. Before that trek up to the castle, we found a kangaroo water fountain (which was awesome). You could find other public water fountains like that one all around Slovenia . Coincidentally we bumped into two LIU Post alumni!! They were also touring the castle. The last stop of the day before we headed back to the hostel was an open air restaurant serving delicious Slovenian cuisine.
